Care Management Services
Behavioral Health Systems’ Care Management Services uses nationally accepted guidelines, scientific studies and interdisciplinary consensus to insure that behavioral healthcare services are medically necessary and appropriate. In addition, Care Coordinators recommend cost-effective alternative levels of care, when appropriate, for the patient and the attending physician to consider to insure that treatment is provided in the most cost efficient setting.
All of this is accomplished under the direction of Dr. William M. Patterson, MD, Senior Medical Director, a Board Certified Psychiatrist, along with assistance from a panel of specialty physicians.
BHS Care Coordinators work closely with contracted behavioral health providers to develop employee centered treatment plans that will result in a process of recovery leading to long-lasting results. Inpatient or outpatient procedures are certified in the most cost-effective setting. Due to the quality of the care management process, BHS’s hospital days per 1,000 members are far lower than other competitors in the industry.
BHS’s Care Management Program can easily be tailored to meet the specific needs and benefit plan design requirements of an employer, or insurance company. Behavioral Health Systems strongly believes that communication and education will give employees the ability to make informed behavioral healthcare decisions that can improve outcomes and quality of life. Flexibility and employee empowerment are integrated into a continuum of services to provide a comprehensive medical management program that best fits your needs and requirements.
